ALBEMARLE, N.C. — A homicide investigation was sparked after officers found a dead man behind a home in Albemarle Wednesday afternoon.
Officers arrived at the home on Brown Avenue just before 4:30 p.m. to find the deceased man located behind it.
Detectives with the Albemarle Police Department, with help from NCSBI, arrived on the scene to investigate shortly after.
From their findings, detectives determined a 34-year-old man had been murdered and warrants for the arrest of Ebrahim Alshaibi, 31, were issued as a suspect in this case.
Police say they were able to locate Alshaibi and arrest him without incident.
Alshaibi was taken to Stanly County Jail and received no bond for his release, according to a news release.
Authorities say Alshaibi ‘s first court appearance is scheduled for August 23rd at 9 a.m.
