Β CHARLOTTE, NC — Β No charges Monday night for a man spotted hanging onto the back of a car on I-77 in south Charlotte over the weekend. Β Witnesses say the car was going about 50 miles per hour near exit seven. Β One witness shot this cell phone video. Β At one point, the man smashed the back window and climbed inside the car. Β A frantic driver called 911.
“There is a car going up the road that’s got a guy sitting on the back of the spoiler,” said the caller. Β “He’s sitting on the back of the car like some damn idiot. Β This guy’s gonna get killed.”
CMPD says officers have identified the man and the woman driving. Β They know each other, and the woman does not want to press charges.
