CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 16-year-old student has been arrested for starting a fire at Phillip O. Berry High School. Β Police say Robert Crosby started the fire at the school. Β
The alarms sounded and the school was evacuated. Β Fire officials say the sprinkler system extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived on the scene. Β
Damage estimates were set at $1,000. Β Crosby has been charged with burning of an educational facility. Β No injuries were reported.
