CHARLOTTE, NC — For the first time, we’re hearing from students who say they were blind sided by Morrison’s resignation.
Kids on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Youth Council say it’s hard to understand why Morrison left. Β They say there’s a void now, since the former superintendent always made time for them.
“He was always honest with us, and then all of a sudden he was up and out,” said CMS student Cierra Johnson. Β “So it was kind of like, concerned me. Β What’s the real idea behind that, and what’s going to come out of his investigation?”
The students say they want a new superintendent who will make time for them, remain honest, and knows the district’s issues.
