Boat Catches Fire After Lightning Strike on Upstate, SC Lake

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. – Unbelievable video after lighting struck the mast of a boat at Portman Marina on Lake Hartwell in Upstate, South Carolina.

Stephanie Hazelhurst took the video showing her husband and their friends try to tow it in, so firefighters could put out the flames.

She tells WCCB Charlotte they had to let it go, because they noticed the fire was close to reaching a propane grill on the back of the boat.

The boat eventually burned all the way down.

No one was on board when the lighting strike happened, so no one was hurt.
