MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — The North Carolina Department of Public Safety arrested 20 people who possessed stolen firearms, cocaine, ecstasy, prescription pills, marijuana and money in a law enforcement operation.
DPS Security Services targeted high risk offenders and their associates on parole and probation in the Operation Summer Jam.
In Mecklenburg county officers seized five firearms, 20 grams of cocaine, 60 grams of marijuana and $10,292 after conducting 29 searches.
The operation was also going on in Cabarrus County. Officers seized four firearms, 100 grams of marijuana, 10 ecstasy and prescription pills and $900 after conducting 20 searches in Cabarrus County.
