CMS Back To School COVID Concerns
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As tens of thousands of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools students prepare to return to the classroom some parents worry as several local school districts report COVID outbreaks.
County health officials are urging CMS to implement more COVID recommendations as soon as possible.
All teachers and students are required to wear masks, but vaccines are not required for employees. The district held a meeting ahead of the first day of classes.
During Tuesday night’s CMS Board of Education meeting district officials said there is a wait list for virtual school.
