Local businesses could soon deny service on the basis of the owner’s religious beliefs. Β We’re seeing more fallout from the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, with some saying it’s really a way to discriminate against the LGBT community.

Governor Pat McCrory says the bill’s not necessary, and he wouldn’t sign it into law. Β “I think some of the items in the so-called Religious Freedom Bill also make no sense and I’ve stated that for the record,” he said.
