Town Of Blowing Rock Implements Mask Mandate Beginning August 27th

BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — Beginning August 27th at 5 p.m., masks will be required while indoors in any public space in the Town of Blowing Rock.

Officials say social distancing should be maintained as well.

Children under 2-years-old will not be required to wear a mask indoors, and for more details on other exemptions and potential penalties see the Town of Blowing Rock’s State of Emergency Declaration.

At this time, officials say masks should be worn in public indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status, throughout the state of North Carolina.

Currently the community transmission status for Watauga County is rated as high, according to a news release.
