Ron Rivera Stresses Importance Of Hiring Veterans

CHARLOTTE, NC —Β A hiring workshop was held in west Charlotte Tuesday for local employers looking to hire veterans.

The workshop’s goal is to educate companies about the experience veterans can bring to the job. Wilson from Rising joined the USO of North Carolina for the event. Β Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera also made an appearance. Β He stressed the importance of hiring those who fought for our country.

“We have several. Β Mr. Richardson has done that. Β Several of the employees are retired military. Β And I think that’s kind of neat. Β I see one every morning. Β John Coleman is a retired sergeant. Β It’s kind of neat to sit down with him and talk about what the military was like for him,” said Rivera.
