CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) β Lance Stephenson says he doesn’t regret signing with the Charlotte Hornets, even though this season has been a tremendous struggle for the five-year NBA veteran. The Hornets gave Stephenson a three-year, $27 million deal this past offseason, hoping his playoff experience would give them a boost. But he hasn’t come close to living up to expectations.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) β The Carolina Panthers announced they’ve signed free agent linebacker and special teams contributor Jason Trusnik to a one-year contract. Financial terms weren’t released yesterday. Trusnik is an eight-year NFL veteran who spent the last four seasons with the Dolphins.
UNDATED (AP) – Connecticut’s Breanna Stewart and Notre Dame’s Jewell Loyd are unanimous selections for the 2014-15 AP women’s All-America team. South Carolina junior Tiffany Mitchell, Baylor sophomore Nina Davis and Minnesota sophomore Amanda Zahui B join the two juniors to round out the team announced yesterday.
