Edge On The Clock: Delta Variant Forcing Companies To Delay Return To Office Plans

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Delta variant is forcing companies, both big and small, to delay return to office plans. Many of the tech industry’s biggest companies that were first to shut down offices at the start of the pandemic, are now joining the growing list of tech giants delaying plans to go back. Google and Uber moving their return date to October. Facebook, Amazon and Apple delaying a return to corporate offices until at least January. And Lyft is pushing the return even further, to February.

Plus, Kid Rock canceled two concerts after members of his band tested positive for COVID. The shows were supposed to take place Friday and Saturday night in Forth Worth, Texas.

And, dolphins in Louisiana floodwaters. Amanda Huling told CNN she and her family were biking back to their neighborhood in Slidell to check for damage from Hurricane Ida when she saw a dolphin.
