NC Bill Introduced That Could Fine Slow Drivers $200

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — State lawmakers are pushing a new bill that will punish slow drivers in the designated fast lanes.

The bill is requesting a $200 fine for drivers going under the legal-maximum speed limit. The bill will also impact slow drivers who disrupt the flow of traffic.

Mecklenburg County Senator Jeff Tarte introduced the bill last week.

The bill is taking baby steps in the right direction and has already been approved on the first reading in the Senate.
