Β MOORESVILLE, N.C.– Β A 4-year-old boy has died after he drowned in a pool at a home in the 100 block of Irish road in Mooresville Saturday afternoon.Β
Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that deputies responded to a call of a possible accidentalΒ drowning around 2:15p.m. after aΒ caller said that a child had been found in a swimming pool.
When deputies arrived on scene, the boy had been transported to Lake Norman RegionalΒ Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
At this time, officials say that it appears that the drowningΒ was an accident.
This investigation is still ongoing.
