MARIETTA, GA — No bond Thursday night for a Georgia father accused of leaving his son to die in a hot SUV. A judge decided Thursday that there is enough evidence for Justin Harris to stand trial on murder charges.
A detective testified that Harris was sexting with at least six women while his son was dying. The detective also said Harris and his wife had two insurance policies on 22-month-old Cooper.
“She asked him, she had him sit down, and he starts going through this, and she looks at him, and she’s like, ‘Well, did you say too much?'” said Det. Phil Stoddard of the Cobb County, Georgia Police.
Harris claims he forgot to take the boy to day care and mistakenly left him in the car seat for seven hours. He has pleaded not guilty.
