Bomb Threat Called Into Chester High School

CHESTER, S.C . — UPDATE: Law enforcement tells WCCB-TV they have concluded their search and the all-clear has been given. No device was found. All students are accounted for and the school will continue on its regular schedule.

Chester High School is on lockdown while authorities investigate a possible bomb threat. Chester County School District says the Chester County Sheriff’s Department and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division will initiate a sweep of the school. No one is being allowed in or out of the school at this time.

A statement on the Chester County School District’s Facebook page says “Normal classroom instruction is currently taking place. The safety and security of our students and staff are always a priority for us, thus we will give our full cooperation with law enforcement personnel. Additional details will be disseminated as they become available.”
