Police Reveal Person Of Interest After Woman’s Body Found In North Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C.–A family described the stench that came from a bluish gray Toyota 4-Runner. It was parked just feet from their Hidden Valley home at the Woodland Hollow Apartments in North Charlotte. “It was so strong,” they said.

White markings were all that remained of the car that some neighbors say sat as long as a week before the discovery. CMPD says detectives towed the SUV away from Dove Tree Lane on Sunday night after a call about a suspicious vehicle.

Investigators discovered the body of a dismembered woman once they began processing it in the crime scene bay at CMPD Headquarters. “Kinda weird that it was just parked there because nobody ever parks there,” said Hidden Valley Resident Samantha Tarnacki.

And now police have identified a person of interest. They are trying to track down a man who was caught on camera while entering a store and grabbing a shopping cart.
Neighbors didn’t recognize him, after a quick glance at the photos. Now, after the gruesome discovery, they are hoping to be more aware of anything suspicious. “There’s kids out here, and they didn’t know that…so now we just gotta keep more eyes on our children…that’s just it,” said Hidden Valley Resident Keyshawn McCullough.

Police want you to contact them at 704-334-1600 if you recognize their person of interest.
