VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) β Kekuta Manneh and Octavio Rivero scored second-half goals and the Vancouver Whitecaps beat the Los Angeles Galaxy 2-0 Saturday night.
Manneh scored in the 56th minute and forward Rivero, in the 66th. A sellout crowd at B.C. Place Stadium watched Vancouver win four consecutive games for the first time since joining Major League Soccer in 2011.
It was just the second time the Whitecaps had beaten the Galaxy in MLS.
Vancouver improved its Western Conference record to 4-1-0 for 12 points.
The defending MLS champion Galaxy suffered their second-consecutive loss and saw their record drop to 1-2-2 for five points. Dating to last season, LA is winless in nine road games (0-5-4).
