Β UPDATE: Β Police have confirmed that the suspect wanted in an earlier shooting on Perth Court Saturday has been found dead in an apartment, ending a two hour long SWAT situation.Β
After breaching the door of the apartment, officials say that they found a man with what appears to be a self-inflicted gun shot wound.Β
Police say that the woman, who has been identified as 29-year-old Alisa Mackey, was shot at the Perth Court scene and was then transported to Carolinas Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Officials say that the two knew each other and that this was not a random act of violenceΒ
Two children are involved with this case, Police say that one was located inside the home on Perth Court. The second child has not been located.
UPDATE 3:30p.m.: A SWAT situation is going on in the 4400 block of John Penn Circle. Police have confirmed that this situation is related to the earlier shooting on Perth Court.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is searching for a suspect after a shooting occurred in the 4600 block of Perth Court.Β
Police say that a domestic dispute led a man to shoot a woman in the chest.
According to medic, she has been transported to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Police were looking for a vehicle connected to the suspect but say that they have located the vehicle but still haven’t found the suspect.Β
