Only the cops and the principal knew what was happening during a recent school-shooting drill in Florida. Β Police came in with full gear, weapons drawn, and kids terrified. Β Parents didn’t get notified about what was happening until after it was over. Β Which was after some of the kids had texted about it.
The police are saying they won’t do it this way again, but they’re not really apologizing. Β They point out that a real situation like this wouldn’t come with any warning, so why should the drill? Β Which might make some sense.
