AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) β€” Despite the fact he hasn’t played competitive golf since early February, Tiger Woods says he is ready for the Masters. The former top-ranked player in the world is in Augusta for this week’s first major of the season and he says his game is back in order. Woods had to withdraw from an event Feb. 5 because of physical ailments.

UNDATED (AP) β€” Baseball has its first postponed game of the new season. Tonight’s Cardinals-Cubs game in Chicago has been called because of the forecast of bad weather. There are still seven games on the schedule.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) β€” The New York Rangers can clinch the top-seed in the NHL playoffs with a win tonight. The New Yorkers enter tonight’s game with New Jersey leading the league with 109 points. Anaheim, which has 107 points, has the night off.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) β€” VCU has replaced Shaka (shah-KUH’) Smart with former assistant Will Wade. The 32-year-old Wade spent the past two seasons as the head coach at Chattanooga, going 40-25. He was the first assistant Smart hired six years ago.

TAMPA (AP) β€” The women’s NCAA basketball title game is this evening in Tampa. The pairing has Connecticut going against Notre Dame. The same schools met in the title game a year ago with the Huskies coming out on top 79-58.
