CONROE, Texas (AP) — Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has avoided jail time with a plea agreement to resolve his child abuse case. Peterson pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of reckless assault after his 4-year old son was injured when Peterson struck him with a wooden switch.
