Hurricane Nate made its second landfall just five miles west of Biloxi, Mississippi, at 12:30 am on Sunday, October 8, the National Weather Service said. These show severe flooding in the parking lot of the Hard Rock Cafe in Biloxi.
A fast-moving storm called Nate brought flooding and power outages to the U.S. Gulf Coast early Sunday after it sloshed ashore outside Biloxi, Mississippi β the first hurricane to make landfall in that state since Katrina devastated the region 12 years ago.
Coastal residents from southeast Louisiana to the Florida panhandle braced for the effects of fast-moving Hurricane Nate, expected to hit sometime time Saturday night - possibly with Category 2 strength.
