Florida's governor issued a stern warning Thursday for a state that hasn't seen a hurricane for a decade: Hermine, expected to hit the eastern Florida Panhandle by early Friday, could be memorably dangerous.
The governor is urging North Carolina residents and visitors to be prepared for heavy rains, possible flooding and gusty winds due to the storm set to pass through parts of the state Friday night and early Saturday.
Tropical Storm Hermine is expected to make landfall in north Florida Thursday night and will head straight for the North Carolina coast according to the latest tracks.
