Cooler Labor Day evening with summer heat returning this week

Tonight, we’ll stay quiet with clear skies and temperatures settling into the mid 60s.Β  Tuesday, stays on the sunny side with highsΒ in the mid to upper 80s, keeping us below those oppressive 90s. A few isolated afternoon thunderstorms could pop up, but most of us stay dry.

Tropical Storm Cristobal Forms in the Atlantic, but Eyes Turn to Two Other Disturbances

Tropical Storm Cristobal formed Wednesday, but this storm is no threat to the U.S. or any other land areas. As of late Wednesday​ afternoon, Cristobal was located about 880 miles west of the Azores with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph. The storm is moving east at about 25 mph and is expected to turn more east-northeast while gradually slowing down.
