Tuesday is the standout day of the week. We’ll have plenty of sunshine, temperatures topping out in the upper 80s and much more comfortable humidity. That northeast breeze will help keep the afternoon heat under control. It’ll still be warm, but it should feel much more comfortable.

Ernesto Strengthens Back Into A Hurricane

Ernesto strengthened back into a category 1 hurricane after weakening into a tropical storm Saturday. Dangerous surf and rip currents continue for U.S. East Coast early into the week.

Debby's Aftermath Leaves Thousands In The Dark; Threatens More Flooding In The Carolinas

The weather system dubbed Debby isn't quite done affecting parts of the U.S. While many rivers had receded by Sunday, flood warnings remained in effect in several areas across central and eastern North Carolina, where more thunderstorms were possible over the next few days. The National Weather Service says localized downpours could result in additional flash flooding throughout the coastal Carolinas.
