CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson found out that washing cars is not all that goes on at the Autobell on Park Road. He climbed up onto the top of the building to investigate their environmentally friendly green roof.
Autobell’s green roof is not only a pleasant view for the residents that live in the apartments around it, but it is also being used as part of a study by UNCC graduate student Danielle Merritt. Danielle, who is studying ecology, explained to Wilson about her project which will be part of her thesis. Nate Edwards, the manager of the Autobell on Park Road, also discussed why they have the roof and what they do to maintain the it.
Wilson was also joined by Chuck Howard, the CEO for Autobell. Their green roof, car wash fundraising programs and water management and recycling are just a few of their community and environmental programs.
Wilson invited two of the players from the Charlotte Legion Football Club to join him this morning and they were surprised when Chuck Howard and Wilson presented them new soccer jerseys thanks to Chuck Howard and Autobell.
