RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Governor Pat McCrory and Attorney General Roy Cooper squared off Tuesday in their second gubernatorial debate hosted by the NC Association of Broadcasters.
The two gubernatorial candidates tackled topics like House Bill 2, teacher pay, abortion legislation, taxes, and their stances on the 2016 presidential candidates.
Throughout the debate Governor McCrory touted his record as Governor of NC, while A.G. Cooper consistently accused McCrory of distorting facts.
McCrory and Cooper will meet again for their third and final debate on October 18th.
