CONCORD, N.C. – Wilson found out how important a lady can be while he was visiting the Concord Regional Airport. A special lady the “Memphis Belle” a World War II Boeing B-17 was the star of the movie of the same name. John Eads who is a B-17 Crewman and also with the Liberty Foundation gave Wilson a history lesson on the B-17, the Memphis Belle and how some of the B-17 planes received their names. John even took Wilson inside the plane for a tour of the cockpit.
The Memphis Belle will be at the Concord Regional Airport September 28th and 29th for visitors to view and to even take a flight.Β The main terminal for the airport is located at 900 Aviation Blvd in Concord. Β
The Concord Regional Airport will soon offer flights directly from Concord to Orlando.Β Allegiant Air will be offering tickets for as low as $79.Β Tickets are already on sale.Β Check out Allegiant’s website, Concord Regional Airport’s website or Facebook page or the airport’s ticket office.
