CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Oxford Dictionary is giving the Rising crew an excuse to take the ever-so-dreaded selfie! Even our producers gave-in to the self portraits.
Oxford announced that “selfie” best out the competition as word of the year.
It’s “a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website.”
