The Penguin Drive-In Files For Bankruptcy

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Penguin Drive-In has filed for bankruptcy protection.  The restaurant has been in the Plaza-Midwood neighborhood in east Charlotte for decades.

Court records show the business owes thousands of dollars to several different companies.

The landlord recently sued the owners of the burger joint for not paying rent.  That case goes to court on November 13th.
