Wilson’s Having a Little Fun Before Getting Serious at the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Wilson was at the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas when he got just a little too close to a block of ice to be used for an ice sculpture being prepared by students from Johnson and Wales University.  He then hit the parking lot for a “not-too-fair” shopping cart race before taking a hand saw to the ice sculpture.  Kids, don’t do this at home…any of it!

Wilson congratulated John Raymond who has given blood 60 times at the center.  John talked with Wilson about why he feels it is important to donate to help others.

During the month of January and February the center is holding their “Pints for Pounds.”  For every pint of blood donated at the center 7 pounds of food will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina

The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas has locations in Charlotte, Hickory, Concord and Gastonia.  Check out their website HERE for days and hours of operation.  You can also call 704-972-4700 to schedule an appointment at any of their donor centers.  This week, donate and get a free movie ticket.
