Man on the Edge: The Language of Love

It seems any language can be the language of love, just as long as you share it.

A researcher from Texas Tech University says that her data shows people who talk alike are more likely to connect romantically.  It has to do with the way your personal language is an extension of yourself and your personality.  The words you choose and the way you pronounce them impacts others.  And when we hear people speaking with similar words, and in a familiar way… boom!  Connection.

Of course, accents and dialects are some of the easiest ways for people to recognize a general cultural connection, because certain words are more common within certain regions of speech.

Our Man on the Edge, Robert Wilder, has one of those high-pitched screechy voices that gets on everybody’s nerves and causes goose bumps.  So he needs a little help with his sexy accent…
