Β Charlotte as Hollywood of the South may not happen, at least not in the immediate future. Β The plans to lure major filmmakers to Crown Town is disappearing as the studio developer looks to other locations beside the Eastland Mall property. Β And the location formerly known as Eastland Mall is now just a big vacant lot, home to memories of its glory days. Β And not much else.
So if the movie studio plans fall through for Eastland, what else should we do with the property?
