International House presents “Children’s World of Play”

FREE EVENT Get ready to experience the universal language of play at “A Children‘s World of Play!” Join us on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at ImaginOn. Children of all ages and their familiesone space are invited to play sports and board games, enjoy interactive activities, and explore arts and crafts that are known throughout Africa, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Watch Indian and Bosnian folk dancing, tango and salsa performers, and African drummers. Families will enjoy many musical and cultural activities from around the world. Highlights from the event: The Confucius Institute one space at Pfeiffer University will offer Chinese calligraphy name translations and other hands-on activities. Join the dynamic duoone space Criss, Cross Mangosauceone space for a fun and exciting session of bilingual music and story time!one space Criss Cross Mangosauce aims to share Hispanic heritage and Spanish language in a fun and educational way. Experience traditional Indian classical and folk dances with Maha’s Dances of India. Immerse yourself in the rhythmic movements, beautiful costumes and enchanting music. Watch the Little Lotus Troup perform traditional and contemporary dance as well as other Chinese performing arts.
