Police Arrest Second Robbery Suspect After Pursuit

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested a robbery and kidnapping suspect Monday afternoon.

Investigators say Demecho Anderson and Anne Alobwede assaulted and tied up two people before robbing them and stealing their vehicle early Saturday morning on North Davidson Street.

Police caught Alobwede a short time after the robbery but were actively looking for Anderson.

An officer saw the stolen vehicle from the robbery and immediately tried to get the driver to pull over.  The driver, Anderson, refused and a pursuit ensued.  Anderson was eventually taken into custody.

He has been charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, felony breaking and entering, conspiracy and several traffic related offenses.

Detectives are currently searching for a third known person in this case.  However, they have not released any details on the suspect at this time.
