GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Police arrested a local restaurant owner after he allegedly sold more than 30 pounds of marijuana at the store.Β
Investigators say Donnie Wooten owns Smokey’s BBQ Restaurant on Lower Dallas Highway.Β He is accused of selling marijuana to undercover officers on several occasions.
Wooten has been charged with selling marijuana, deliver marijuana, three counts of manufacture marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, five counts of maintaining a dwelling, two counts of manufacture controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, four counts of conspiracy to sell, four counts of conspiracy to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, five counts of trafficking marijuana and conspiracy to traffic in marijuana.Β
Michael Huffman and Tausha Mixon were also arrested and face several felony charges in the case.Β Police are still looking for Jessica Plummer.Β
