Four Arrested In Mint Hill Heroin Bust

Mint Hill, N.C. — Authorities in Mint Hill have arrested four men in connection with an on-going Heroin investigation.  Officers executed a search warrant focused on trafficking in illicit narcotics at 5216 Wilgrove-Mint Hill Road that concluded with the four arrests.

Donald E. Maechtle, Kent A. Hayes, Joel-Paredes Sanchez, and Alex Rafael Reyes were arrested and charged with a litany of crimes that include; Trafficking in Heroin, Sale of Heroin within 1000 feet of a public park, Sale of Heroin, Delivery of Heroin, Possession with intent to sell or deliver Heroin, Maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of trafficking Heroin, Maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of trafficking Heroin, and Sale of Heroin within 1000 feet of a school.

The execution of the search warrant and ensuing investigation yielded a total of 132 grams of Black Tar Heroin, 102 grams of Brown powder Heroin and $1,433.00 in U.S. Currency.  The street value of the seized narcotics is estimated to be $23, 500.00.   The investigation also resulted in the seizure of two vehicles.
