CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Parents are concerned after they found out ex-inmates will soon live around the corner from a local elementary school.

Andrew Griffith’s twins are in the first grade at Berryhill Elementary School in southwest Charlotte.  He is a former corrections officer so when he heard about the John Jennings Transitional Program his brain started firing.

Jennings heard those concerns during a community meeting Monday evening.  Jennings plans on putting the men on a strict schedule that includes working and no drugs or alcohol.  If the men fail to follow the rules they will go back to jail.
