ATHENS, Ga. (AP) β€” Georgia star tailback Todd Gurley has been suspended indefinitely while the school investigates an alleged violation of NCAA rules. Gurley leads the Bulldogs with 773 yards rushing and eight touchdowns and is one of the nation’s top Heisman Trophy candidates. Freshman Nick Chubb will likely replace Gurley as the No. 1 running back Saturday against Missouri.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) β€” Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher says receiving leader Rashad Greene is expected to play for the top-ranked Seminoles Saturday against Syracuse. The senior wideout suffered a concussion during last Saturday’s 43-3 victory over Wake Forest but fully participated in practice today and was scheduled to undergo final testing afterward. Greene leads the team with 38 receptions, 576 yards and three touchdowns.

HOUSTON (AP) β€” Andrew Luck threw for 370 yards and three touchdowns as the Indianapolis Colts beat the Houston Texans 33-28 to take over first place in the AFC South at 4-2. T.Y. Hilton had four receptions for 140 yards while the Colts were building a 24-0 lead in the first quarter. Hilton finished with a career-high 223 receiving yards and a touchdown.

HOUSTON (AP) β€” Texas prosecutors say Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson should be arrested anew after admitting during his court appearance on a child abuse charge that he had “smoked a little weed” while out on bond. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said Peterson allegedly told a worker conducting his urinalysis exam during his court appearance Wednesday that he had smoked marijuana. Peterson is currently free on a $15,000 bond after he was indicted last month on a felony charge of injury to a child for using a wooden switch to discipline his 4-year-old son earlier this year in suburban Houston.

BALTIMORE (AP) β€” Orioles manager Buck Showalter says first baseman Chris Davis won’t be added to the team’s 25-man roster for the AL championship series against Kansas City. Davis still has five more games to serve in a 25-game suspension he received from Major League Baseball on Sept. 12 for testing positive for Adderall, a banned amphetamine. He could be put on the roster if the series goes at least six games and the Orioles lose a player due to injury.
