CHARLOTTE, NC — We are counting down to election day. Voters have five more days to cast their ballots early. New numbers Monday night show more than 39,000 people have taken advantage of early voting in Mecklenburg County.
U.S. Senate candidate Thom Tillis is getting some big support on the campaign trail Tuesday. Republican U.S. Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham will join Tillis in Charlotte for a tour of Hendrick Motorsports. The latest polls have incumbent Democrat Kay Hagan with a slight lead over Tillis.
Another big race is the one for County Commission at-large. Five candidates are running for three open seats. They include incumbents Pat Cotham and Trevor Fuller, who are both Democrats. You can find out more about the candidates here.
