CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was at a “super secret” location today where he was getting a sneak peek of this year’s Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade. He was joined by Moira Quinn of Charlotte Center City Partners for a look at what the visitors at this year’s parade will get to see.
Dr. Ophelia Garmon Brown talked with Wilson on why Novant Health chose to sponsor the event Novant’s work with the community. Robert Krumbine talked with Wilson about the special guests and performers that will be in the parade as well as the need for volunteers to participate in the parade.
This year’s Thanksgiving Day parade will be Charlotte’s 68th Thankgsgiving Day parade and it has become one of the largest in the nation. But this year, they are making a few changes. The parade will begin at 9:30am and instead of traveling north to south on Tryon Street, it will travel south to north, beginning at Stonewall Street and heading up Tryon to 9th Street.
Something else new this year is VIP seating. The parade is a free event, but if you would like reserved seating in a prime location, you can now purchase front row tickets that will give you the best vantage point for viewing the parade.
To find out more about the parade or if you would like to volunteer and participate in the parade or even purchase a VIP seat go to their website at www.novanthealththanksgivingparade.com.
And Wilson wants to be sure you know….the Novant Health Thankgsgiving Day Parade will be on Thankgsiving Day….thanks Wilson for the clarification……
