CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For seven years the Subaru “Share the Love” event has helped raise money for charities both locally and nationally.  Wilson was at Subaru Concord where, again this year, the car dealer is participating in the “Share the Love” event.

Concord’s Mayor Scott Padgett even joined Wilson holding a can of Beenie Weenie’s.  Wilson can get people to do some of the strangest things.  Mayor Padgett talked with Wilson about the program, local charities and the importants of volunteering with local charities.

When a customer purchases or leases a car from a Subaru dealership, Subaru will donate $250 to a charity chosen by the purchaser.  Since its beginning 7 years ago  the “Share the Love” vent has raised over 50 million dollars for local and national charities.

Some of the charities both locally and nationally that have been supported by Subaru’s “Share the Love” event are:

Cabarrus Meals on Wheels

ASPCA

The Make-a-Wish Foundation

United Way of Central Carolinas

Meals on Wheels Associations of America

National Park Foundation
