CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It was a little too early for a fine brew this morning, but not too early to get a preview of Olde Mecklenburg Brewery‘s 5th annual German-style Holiday Market or Weihnachtsmarkt. Besides finding out more about this week’s holiday market, he also took us behind the scenes at the brewery.
A yearly tradition in Germany, this Christmas Market is a marketplace where baked goods, crafts and gifts are offered for sale. Enjoy a good beer or a hot spiced red wine and great food while strolling through the market. The fire pits will be fired up to keep everyone warm while outside in the beer garden enjoying the fun.
Among North Carolina based breweries Old Mecklenburg Brewery is the largest brewhouse in the state. It was just named the best brewery tour in the country in the USA Today’s national readers’ voter poll. They even topped Budweiser and Sam Adams!
BoerBarn Soaps and Jewelry and Angelika’s Fine Swiss Bakery are only 2 of the local vendors that will be at the Christmas Market.
