Enjoying a Morning at the Mint Museum with Teddy “Wilson” Roosevelt

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  History came to life today when Wilson visited the Mint Museum in Uptown Charlotte.  Dressed in his best Teddy Roosevelt attire he visited one of the museum’s newest exhibits “Connecting the World: the Panama Canal at 100.”

During the construction of the Panama Canal its progress was chronicled creatively by American artists through drawings and paintings.  The Panama Canal’s centennial celebration provided the perfect opportunity to exhibit the work of these artists.

“Connecting the World: The Panama Canal at 100” will be at the Mint Museum Uptown until February 1, 2015.  Be sure to check out the Mint’s website for more information on the exhibit as well as museum hours and ticket prices.

The Mint Museum not only has art exhibits, performances and demonstrations, but family and educational programs as well.  To get information on everything the Mint has to offer, both at the Uptown location and the Mint Musem on Randolph Road, check their website HERE.
