CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Authorities have charged 56-year-old William Henry Yongue with the murder of his mother, 88-year-old, Imogene T. Yongue.
Officers in the Hickory Grove Division responded to a call in the 6100 block of Vernedale Road where they found a female inside the residence. The medic declared the victim deceased at the scene.
Detectives conducted an interview with Mr. Yongue and arrested him for murder upon the completion of the investigation.
Mr. Yongue is being held at the Mecklenburg County’s Sheriff’s office. Additional information will be released by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department as it becomes available.
