CHARLOTTE, NC — The car stolen from an elderly woman during a violent robbery has been recovered.  Police are trying to figure out how two boys, aged 13 and 14, ended up with the car.  Those kids were arrested after they used the vehicle in a hit and run accident Tuesday morning.

Police do not believe the boys were involved in the violent home invasion on Westcliff Drive Sunday afternoon, where the car was stolen.  The people who did that also attacked the 72-year-old woman who lives there, before taking her olive gray 2005 Nissan Altima.

17-year-old Sylessa Ford, 18-year-old Myron Bullock and a 14-year-old boy are charged in connection to the home invasion.
