Six Arrested Following Rowan County Drug Investigation

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Six people have been arrested by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office for controlled substance violations that occurred between September and December of 2014. 

Derrick Jewone Blackwell, Jerry Phillip Ritchie Jr., Sheila Bobbitt Smith, Michael Tyrone Bost, Jeffrey Alan Nunn, and Brenda Kay Clark have all been arrested on various drug charges.

The arrests were a result of undercover investigations after the Sheriff’s office received complaints about illegal drug sales by those arrested.  The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office, the Spencer Police Department, and the China Grove Police Department assisted the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.

The charges include Possession of Cocaine, Selling Cocaine, Possession of Oxycodone, Selling Oxycodone, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia among other charges.
