CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Bank of America sent notices to 150 of their Charlotte based employees Wednesday. The company is laying off 250 total mortgage workers in Charlotte.
This comes after the bank announced they were eliminating 540 jobs in the Legacy Asset Servicing Division based in Charlotte in June 2014. The Legacy Asset Servicing Division was formed in early 2011 when numerous customers were at risk of having their homes foreclosed.
The company says the employees affected by the eliminated positions are eligible to apply for open positions at the bank.
