CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Bank of America sent notices to 150 of their Charlotte based employees Wednesday. Β The company is laying off 250 total mortgage workers in Charlotte. Β
This comes after the bank announced they were eliminating 540 jobs in the Legacy Asset Servicing Division based in Charlotte in June 2014. Β The Legacy Asset Servicing Division was formed in early 2011 when numerous customers were at risk of having their homes foreclosed. Β
The company says the employees affected by the eliminated positions are eligible to apply for open positions at the bank.
