The Carolina Brawl III: Night of Champions’ official weigh-in event will be held at 8pm Thursday, March 5th at Buffalo Wild Wings on 400 East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The former World Champion, boxing legend and future hall-of-famer Jones Jr. will fight LIVE! at the Cabarrus Arena, Concord in an unprecedented boxing event—a marquee event for the Greater Charlotte Region and the State of North Carolina.

Roy Jones Jr. was named Boxer of the Decade for the 1990s by “The Ring” magazine and is one of the most accomplished fighters of the last century. His story began as a Silver Medal Olympian and includes championship belts in multiple weight classes including a rise from middleweight to heavyweight all while retaining his championship status—something no other fighter past or present has accomplished. His professional record includes 52 wins with 40 of them by KO.

Mike Long, promoter and owner of “Carolina Brawl” is thrilled to announce the bout, which will be part of a full card of boxing at “Carolina Brawl III”. The card will include top fighters from NC as well as fighters training under Roy Jones Jr. “I think this shows us what the Greater Charlotte Region can be in terms of a sports hub. Who would have thought 10 years ago that this would be possible?”

The Night of Champions/Carolina Brawl III is an NC Boxing Commission sanctioned bout and assumes to be one that will, with a win, put Roy Jones Jr. ever-closer to a title shot—unheard of at age 46—but Jones is known for breaking records. Make no mistake, this will not be an easy road, and he must fight his way through Charlotte and his opponent Willie “For Real” Williams, a seasoned and ready veteran, to make this recent, incredible string of wins continue.

There will be nine undercard match-ups before the Jones Jr. fight on March 6th.
